Dark walnut wood, a characteristic end grain structure and high-quality craftsmanship from Bavaria:

This cutting board is crafted from solid walnut wood using an elaborate end-grain construction. The wood fibers run perpendicular to the surface, forming the typical cube structure with visible growth rings.

When cutting, the knife blade glides between the wood fibers rather than permanently cutting through them. This makes end grain particularly gentle on the knife, and cut marks are less visually noticeable.

The larger the cutting board, the stronger and heavier it appears. Especially with larger sizes, a board thickness of 4 or 5 cm provides additional stability.

End-grain and walnut

In end grain wood, the wood fibers are perpendicular to the cutting surface. This creates the characteristic surface with visible annual rings.

Walnut has a dark, warm color and a vibrant grain. This makes each board look particularly high-quality and, thanks to the natural wood structure, makes it unique.

SOLID WOOD AND HANDCRAFTED

For end-grain construction, numerous individual walnut wood elements are precisely cut, arranged and glued together.

Each board is then sanded and oiled several times. The cutting board is finished and delivered ready for use.

CARE AND CLEANING

Clean the cutting board briefly under running water or with a damp cloth after use.

If possible, briefly wipe both sides with a damp cloth to ensure the wood expands and contracts evenly.

Please do not leave the board in water and do not clean it in the dishwasher.

Then let it dry upright in a well-ventilated area.

If the surface appears lighter or dry, you can treat the board with a suitable wood care oil.
