Easy Knitting Pattern Mohair sweater. A fluffy sweater can be knitted from alpaca or mohair.

Level: Beginner

The Sweater Soft is an oversized sweater, which is worked seamlessly top down in one piece with 2
raglan lines on the shoulders. The neckline is worked in the round, then the yoke starts with short
rows. Once the short rows are finished, the yoke is joined for working in the round. The Sleeves are
formed by increasing stitches. At underarm level the stitches for the Sleeves are put on hold and the
rest of the pullover is finished in the round. Then the stitches for the Sleeves are picked up around
the armhole and worked in the round down to the cuffs.

You may choose to work neckline and cuffs either in Rib 2*2 or in Lace Rib.

Size 1 (2, 3): 82-89 (90-97, 98-107) cm/ 32 ½ -35 (35 ½ - 38, 38 ½ - 42)’’
to be worn with up to 20-25 cm/ 8-10” positive ease.
Height is 165-170 cm/ 5’4’’- 5’6”.

MATERIALS

- Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk ( 140 m/ per 25 g, 73% Alpaca, 27 % Silk).
Shade: #11; 8 (10, 12) skeins.
The original pattern is worked with 2 strands held together throughout.
Alternative Yarn:
- Drops Melody (140 m per 50 g; 71 % Alpaca, 25 % Wool, 4 % Polyamide)
Shade: #1; 4 (5, 6) skeins
- Gazzal Super Kid Mohair ( 237 m per 25 g, 47 % Super Kid Mohair,
31 % Superwash, Merino Fine, 22 % Polyamide).
7 (8, 10) skeins for the pattern worked with 3 strands held together throughout.

You may use any mohair yarn in approx. yardage to substitute.

Gauge
11 sts * 17 rows = 10 cm/ 4” in St st on 7 mm needles after blocking.
