Antique French Cut Steel Shoe Buckles

I’m so sorry, but due to another substantial rise in US import tariffs, my prices have had to increase. All US Buyers Import Tariffs are included in the listed price, so they are paid in advance at the time of purchase. I may be able to offer some discounts on certain items, so do get in touch and I’ll see what I can do :)

A lovely pair of antique shoe buckles with individually mounted faceted cut steel rivets. The back of the buckles are stamped Made in France. These are not Georgian and probably date from the late 19thC to the early 20thC. In great useable condition with only one rivet missing. They come with the original leather linings attached which could easily be resown onto shoes, but they also have the traditional buckle bar underneath for attaching to a shoe flap. Great to find a useable pair :)

I try to describe my vintage and antique items as best as my knowledge allows, but please study the pictures carefully as they form part of the description. I do not clean my jewellery as many will prefer the old patina.


I send my more expensive items tracked and insured. Often I pay more for this than my customer pays me. I try to keep postage costs to a minimum but it’s expensive these days and I need to make sure we are covered for any losses so that a customer can always be refunded quickly if something gets lost in the post.
