This sand ceremony set is the perfect choice to symbolically represent the time when your new married life begins. The set includes a hand blown hourglass that is filled during the ceremony then sealed up to be used as an actual time piece (time measured depends on the amount of sand added, can be anywhere from 1-5 minutes). SAND IS NOT INCLUDED. YOU CAN USE FINE BEACH SAND (SIFT SAND AND MAKE SURE IT IS DRY FIRST), VERY FINE COLORED SAND OR ORDINARY TABLE SALT. IF YOU TRY USING COARSE SALT OR COARSE SAND, OR SAND THAT HAS MOISTURE IN IT, YOU MAY ENCOUNTER PROBLEMS WITH THE SAND MOVING FROM ONE END TO THE OTHER.
