Nautical Throw Quilt: Anchor, Ship Wheel, Compass - 48x59

Nautical scenes depicted in the blocks of this bold, throw quilt are presented in a casual style. The size, 48" x 59" is perfect for a throw in the living or family room. Or, the quilt can be placed at the foot of a bed or folded over a chair in the bedroom. "Nautical View" makes a great addition to a room with nautical décor and provides comfort on those chilly nights.

Using traditional, nautical colors, you will find blues, reds, cream, tan and golden yellow throughout this piece. The center portion of this quilt is comprised of six, large blocks: a compass, a ship's helm, an anchor and three sail boats. The small blocks in the corners between the main blocks are made with color-coordinated, fishing sinkers and bobbers fabric. The outer border completes this quilt with nautical print fabric consisting of a collage of lighthouses, sail boats, anchors and other nautical features. The backing is a very soft, cream/tan solid fabric.

The center blocks are quilted with echo stitching around objects in the block. On the back of the quilt you can see outlines of the objects from the front side of the quilt. The light blue, sashing rectangles have a simple wavy line, and the inner border has a scrolling wave. The outer border also has scrolling, spikey waves. The quilting stitches actually show up quite nicely against the soft, backside of the quilt. The quilt looks great from both sides.

Care instructions: Machine wash cold; tumble dry low. Do not use bleach. To minimize fading, avoid direct sunlight.
