Coffee beans are only at peak freshness for 3-4 weeks past roast. After this period, the flavors start to slowly decay. By a few weeks later, the coffee’s only a shadow of its former self (sad). Most grocery stores don’t have the systems (or sales) in place to trade out coffee beans every 3-4 weeks with fresh bags. And this is why big coffee companies started putting “best by” dates on their bags that are… months in the future. They just sit collecting dust and although cheaper, you truly get what you’re paying for. There’s simply no substitute for fresh, recently-roasted coffee, that’s why we’ve structured our business to ensure you get the freshest cup possible every time. We roast our coffee to-order instead of roasting on a production schedule like our competitors. While their bags sit collecting dust and getting stale in a lonely grocery aisle, we wait for an order to be placed. This ensures you get a freshly-roasted batch. Our process guarantees an unmatched flavor, freshness, and clean finish – and you can smell the difference from the moment you open the bag.

HOW TO STORE

Keep them in an airtight, dark container away from sunlight and heat. Avoid steam (so consider where you are storing your beans and keep them away from brewers, stoves, etc.). Avoid moisture (storing near your sink could accidentally allow water to reach beans).

We want to get your coffee beans to you as quickly as possible. To keep things simple, we offer Free Shipping in the United States. Our primary shipping service is USPS Priority or UPS Ground. Both are "ground" services that take 3-5 business days from coast-to-coast (many of our products ship from our store or roastery in California).

DELIVERY TIME

We like to get your coffee beans roasted and shipped as fast as possible. We roast Monday through Friday, starting at 4 am until we finish for the day. We roast to order on our wholesale, retail, and online sales. Since we do not roast on Saturdays and Sundays, orders placed on these days will not be shipped until Monday, increasing your delivery time. Our delivery time is also based on "business" days. For example, if you place an order on Sunday, it's impossible for us to ship an item the same day as all the shippers are closed. Also we do not roast on Saturdays and Sundays. Most orders placed after 3 pm on Friday will be roasted and shipped first thing Monday morning.
