A humble dandelion, growing out of the sidewalk on my block. I love seeing these flowers bloom because it means that spring is fully here after a long winter.
I captured it in my sketchbook, then designed the print digitally & had it made by a local Seattle riso printer friend. It was printed in three layers.

A risograph print is made on a riso printer. Each layer is printed separately with ink drums (different from standard digital prints, which print all colors at once with ink cartridges). Each print is slightly different due to the nature of printing, and you get the cool color overlay effects like you would with a silkscreen print.


Each is signed on the bottom of the print.
Page size 5x7" with lots of room. Will fit well into a 5x7" mat or frame (super common size!)
