"Oyster Shells" by Kristine Kainer

This archival fine art print features a collection of oyster shells from the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. (The original painting is oil on gallery wrapped canvas, 30" x 30" x 1.5" and is currently available through UGallery.com.)

Whenever I am at the beach, I pick up shells of interest and take them home as "models" for my art. Some of the other oyster shells are from meals I've enjoyed at seafood restaurants--usually oysters on the half shell. Again, the interesting looking shells often find themselves coming home with me--often smuggled in my purse (much to the embarrassment of my family).

Sizes available are 16 x 16, 20 x 20, 24 x 24, and 36 x 36 inches. Each print is produced on acid-free fine art paper using archival inks to guarantee that it lasts a lifetime without fading or loss of color. Each print has a 1-inch border around the image to allow for future framing and matting, if desired. Prints shown in photos are examples only. Mats and frames NOT included.

My works are located in both private and public collections throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
