Jadeite jade slab from Guatemala.

It is ideal for making cabochons, or any shapes, great for practising. It has a good angle cut throughout the thickness so it will make pieces of the same thickness.
Its color is light green, with darker veins that make it more pleasing in the finished pieces. I have made leaves out of this type of jade and the patterns are wonderful.
An advantage of working with cut slabs is that there is almost no loss of material, many small pieces come out if you know how to take advantage of all the space in the rock.
The translucency through the flashlight is a mint green and in daylight finished pieces are a sweet bluish mint.

Stone: Guatemalan jade jadeite, the locals in Guatemala call it "Jaguar no amaisillado".

Approx.length of sides: It is a very irregular piece, the measurements are taken as an average.
