This is a digital download. The file will be delivered as a pdf, to be printed and used a template for cutting and hole punching a cover for a baseball.

I designed this Lemon Peel Baseball cover template to reminiscent of a vintage 1860’s-1870’s “lemon-peel” baseball before the figure 8 baseball cover became a standard.

The samples shown are covering official MLB Rawlings baseball cores that I removed the covers from. The pdf is sized to print on 8.5”x11” paper at 100% for a ball with 225mm circumference. You can cover anything you like, of course. If your baseball is bigger or smaller, simply adjust the size of the template in your print settings.

This digital file is meant to printed for manual cutting.

There may be some puckering of the leather when covering a spherical core. This can be managed by selecting high quality leathers in a reasonable 3-5 oz thickness. Also, a finished ball can be wetted in hot water and allowed to dry overnight to tighten a ball that is slightly too loose, or becomes stretched out during assembly.
