The 'Umi' Meat Cleaver has an HRC Rating of 62 for unparalleled hardiness and performance, as well as a razor-sharp edge. 33-layers of Damascus on each side surround the Japanese VG10 Steel Core - built to last and retain sharpness so that you will never need another cleaver knife again.
The tapered grinding of the blade results in extreme sharpness for the most effortless cutting you've ever experienced. The knife allows you to cut cleanly through even the toughest meats and vegetables.
Further, the cleaver knife features integrated full-tang molding from blade to handle, which allows for increased force and leverage.
The breathtaking handle is created from Real Deep-Sea Abalone Shell that is full of color and will glisten beautifully in your kitchen.

It’s hard to describe the beauty of the abalone handle, even with pictures. But it’s something that’s so beautiful that it will distract you. The blade is great as well, beautiful Damascus pattern is strong and easily viewable and the edge cuts thru most foods very smoothly. I’ve gotten other blades from Senken knives before and they’re beautiful too but they just got the job done. This is both a trophy display piece and cuts like a dream. Get this knife and you’ll be happy with it, whether you use it or not
