What if I’m unhappy with my order?

If you receive your order and there are any issues/damages, please message me within 72 hours of delivery with a description/photo of the damage, and I’ll be more than happy to work with you on a return/refund.

Is it too cold/hot to ship moss?

Not at all! Moss loves the cold, even grows happily under snow…and trust me, shipping during the winter won’t bother it a bit. :) “Mosses grow in many different environments, from cold snowy mountains to baking hot deserts. Different species have adapted to survive in extreme conditions. Studies have shown that the lowest temperature they can photosynthesise (turn energy from sunlight into food) is around -15ºC and the highest is around 40ºC. In hot environments like prairies or deserts, one that mosses tolerate heat is by becoming dormant (dried out). Some mosses have even been known to survive temperature highs of 100ºC and lows of -272ºC. That's a resilient little plant right there!” -Kew Botanical Gardens, https://www.kew.org/

If an item is too big, can you cut it down to size?

Absolutely! Message the shop and we can happily trim, cut or break (most) any item down to the exact measurements you require for your project.

We have gorgeously colorful “Indian paint pots” now available by the pound.
Native Americans used the ochre in these naturally occurring rocks for red and yellow pigments, hence the common name of Indian paint pots.
Properly known as concretions, these odd rocks are one of my favorites…who doesn’t love a rock that can produce paint*? :D

We have 3 size options available:

Most shards are roughly 3”-5” in size (and up!), and your order will contain a variety of colorful shards that look very much like the ones pictured above. The rocks, when dry, feature a clay-like, dusty surface, and when wet, the color is magnified.
