100% Bamboo Lyocell Pillowcase Set Natural Organic super Soft Pillowcases for Hair and Skin Vegan Silk Pillow Case Cover Luxury Bedding UK

Seller's description

Pair of silky soft envelope pillow cases, standard double size 50x75cm, made of 100% Bamboo Lyocell.

Bamboo Lyocell is better, more sustainable, ethical and eco friendly material than bamboo viscose/rayon/fiber from which most of the bamboo bedding is made.

The majority of bamboo bedding on the market are made of bamboo viscose, also known as bamboo rayon, but there’s a dirty side to the bamboo rayon/viscose production, which requires toxic chemically-intensive processes. Out of all the bamboo fabrics, bamboo viscose/rayon/fiber is the cheapest and easiest to produce but is the most toxic and polluting.

Bamboo Lyocell is made with pure organic bamboo pulp. In the lyocell process, raw bamboo pulp is dissolved using a non-toxic solvent, producing non-hazardous effluent. The fiber is created using a closed-loop system that recycles 98% of the water. The result is a first-of-it’s-kind bamboo lyocell fabric that is stronger and softer than bamboo rayon, free from harmful chemicals and requires less energy and water to produce.

Because when the label of any bamboo fabric product says 100% Bamboo, it is not being honest, because Bamboo is a tree, and there are few methods how the fabric is made from the tree, it is either Bamboo Lyocell which is harder to make but more natural, or Bamboo Viscose or Rayon, which uses lots of chemicals so its much cheaper and easier to produce (That's why most Bamboo products are made from Bamboo viscose or rayon) but its highly toxic and not organic at all you guys, so please don`t be fooled by a label that says 100% Bamboo but doesn`t state what kind of Bamboo it is!

Bamboo is incredibly soft and has often been compared to silk in feel. That soft, smooth texture keeps hair from getting frizzy and tangled during the night.
Like silk, bamboo wicks away moisture and discourages the growth of dust mites.
Bamboo fabric is naturally cooling and breathable, so you can keep that “cool side of the pillow” feeling all night long. Goodbye greasy hair days!
Bamboo pillowcases are also incredibly durable, machine washable, and look brand new even when you wash them over and over again.
Bamboo is naturally antibacterial and antifungal, which is good news for acne sufferers. Plus, those qualities keep the pillowcases from acquiring odor over time.

Why you should choose bamboo pillowcases over cotton?

Traditional pillowcases are made from cotton or cotton/polyester blends. While these linens are inexpensive, they also have a rough surface that creates friction on your hair and skin at night. This can leave you with frizzy hair and wrinkles in the morning.

Cotton is also very absorbent and pulls the moisture from your skin and hair while you sleep. If you’ve ever woken up with dry, brittle hair and parched skin, you know exactly what we’re talking about.

Bamboo pillowcases are much smoother. Your hair and skin glide over them, which prevents wrinkles, frizz, reduces tension and pulling during the night. Bamboo pillowcases are also less absorbent than cotton pillowcases, helping your hair and skin retain their natural levels of moisture. Because bamboo pillowcases do not absorb the moisture from your hair & skin while you’re sleeping, so you wake up with more hydrated. And as you already know, hydration is key for having healthy, strong hair and glowing skin!

Bamboo like silk pillowcases are hypoallergenic, which means that they’re unlikely to cause allergic reactions. They also prevent the growth of dust mites from forming on your pillows. Dust mites are a very common allergy, so that’s why bamboo pillowcases are a great choice for allergy sufferers.

These are very good quality pillow cases which were purchased for a family member who gets hot at night time. They wash and iron well and are a good size.
