Items created to contact food are glazed with non-toxic, food-safe glazes. All glazes are lead- and cadmium-free. Glazes are also tested for acid resistance. If a glaze is not food-safe, it is not used on food-contact surfaces or is mentioned in the description.

Handmade pottery always benefits from handwashing, but items sold are dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe.

Each piece of pottery is priced relative to the time and materials required for creation. Intricate designs and textures generally take longer to create, requiring higher prices.

An artist is their own worst critic. For instance, two butter dishes may be similar in size and shape but one might have a slightly warped lid, a glaze that did come out as expected, or other issues. These aspects are taken into consideration when pricing. All items have a starting base price and then cost is added or subtracted to arrive at the final price. I hope that enough pottery styles are available to fit various budgets.

I package my items expecting them to be tossed across shipping warehouses, but sometimes an item breaks. If this happens, I need you to KEEP EVERYTHING and possibly stop unpackaging once you realize the item is broken. The package is insured and your cooperation will be necessary to complete a claim. This will include sending multiple pictures or taking the broken piece and packaging to your local post office for verification.

You can request a new item or refund should something arrive broken.

Sadly this is something that occurs. I am not responsible for packages once they are handed off to the carrier and, as a small business, I cannot afford to replace stolen items for free. Make sure the address you provide is correct, a safe location, and if a gift, I recommend notifying the recipient to expect a package. All orders are shipped with tracking numbers.

Be sure to check with neighbors, other family members, and your local post office if a package is missing. Mail theft is a federal crime and should be reported to the authorities if it occurs.

Refunds will not be given, but replacements at a discounted rate may be available.

If you receive the item and it is not what you expected, you may return the piece. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs. Once I receive the item in original condition, a refund will be issued. Pack carefully because if the item is returned broken, no refund or replacement will be issued.

Refunded amount: $40; total costs to buyer for return $10

I do not accept returns of used food items, like butter keepers or mugs. Personalized items may occasionally be returnable.

Shipping addresses are automatically filled from the information you input. If the address is considered undeliverable for any reason and the item is returned to me, you will receive a refund minus a restocking fee of $5. Please check your shipping address carefully and contact me quickly if there is an issue. Ready to ship items are often shipped the next day.

If the item is personalized and cannot be resold, I will contact you to obtain a corrected address. Refunds will not be issued but the item will be available to ship back indefinitely.
