Fix the Read Only (unable to edit) issue in MS Word.

1.In Word Options go to Trust Center and untick all the boxes in the Protected View pane. 2.Also in the General tab in the left sidebar scroll down and find the option that says "Open e-mail attachments and other uneditable files in reading view". Untick the box for the option and click on OK to save the changes.
