Should I order a swatch?

Our swatches are typically 3"X3" and are a great way to see and feel the fabric before committing to a yard or more. We strongly recommend ordering a swatch as certain qualities do not come across well in photos. We charge $.99 per swatch for the labor that goes into packaging each swatch. We can reduce the shipping price by shipping with a stamp, though we will not be able to guarantee shipping times or provide tracking information for your order if using a stamp. Please leave a note on your order or send a message to our shop to inquire about changing your method of shipment.

What are your typical shipping times?

Our shipping times may vary, we mainly reference the estimated shipping times provided by the carrier chosen by the customer. Once the package is in the carrier's possession, we do not have control over shipping/tracking changes, delays, or issues. We will do our best to work with the customer and their carrier to resolve any problems that arise throughout the shipment process. Due to the pandemic and postal staffing shortages, there has been a recent rise in reported shipping issues. Longer shipping times have been one such issue, especially for international orders. Please keep in mind that your shipping time may be longer than estimated by the carrier of your choice.

What shipping should I choose for my order?

Customers are free to choose any shipping service offered by Etsy. Fedex and UPS are privately owned companies and often offer more reliable shipping time estimates, which is why they typically charge more. While standard USPS may be the least expensive, their level of service may vary. This is particularly noticeable for international orders, which can be more prone to setbacks. Once an international order leaves a USPS location and arrives in a new country, the package may have gone through multiple tracking changes. Fedex and UPS do not change your tracking information at any time throughout the shipping process. A majority of all packages arrive with no issues, but please be aware of these common policies and practices.

Do you accept returns?

Yes, we accept most returns. Please send us a message for assistance in returning an item. Returns may be subject to a restocking fee. We ask that when ordering swatches, please do so with the understanding that you are ordering a sample of a product which has been priced to solely cover the cost of the materials (swatch card, plastic sheath, envelope, label, receipt) and compensate our workers. We always encourage customers to reach out when a fabric does not accurately match our photos, but ask that swatches not be returned if the fabric does not work for your project. This ensures that we are able to continue offering swatches at a very low price and allowing our customers to sample the fabric before committing to large amounts.

Custom and personalized orders

Yes, we are able to work with you to create beautiful custom fabrics and source items not available on our shop. Please send us a message on Etsy or an email to lavaillerbougara@gmail.com for any inquiries. Please be aware that there may be a consultation fee depending on the custom order request.

Cupro Bemberg Striped Silk Sleeve Lining

Found in many luxurious clothing pieces this fabric is extremely smooth and flowing hand that, when used as a lining, allows the garment to lay against the body without static and slide without resistance. Cupro is excellent for lining the sleeves of jackets, blazers, and coats.

Cupro has many aspects that set it apart from other fabrics. Often made from the remnant pieces of silk, cotton and rayon it has many of the attributes of silk such as the smooth and flowing hand. It has silk's thermoregulating qualities mixed with cotton's rugged durability, with the added benefit of being less wasteful than other fabrics on the market.

This fabric measures 44 inches (55.88 cm) wide with a .5 inch (1.27 cm) selvage and a .5 inch (1.27 cm) repeat.

The pattern is jacquard, it is woven into the fabric and not printed. This fabric is not a brocade.
Bearing many similarities to a brocade, jacquards are typically a much lighter weight fabric. Both are woven on similar looms, though brocades are usually used as a heavier outer fabric while jacquards are used for lighter inner linings.

This fabric is machine washable or can be dry-cleaned and should be pressed with a medium temperature iron.

All orders will be cut in one continuous piece and are shipped within 24 hours.

Please note that we try our best to portray all fabric colors as accurately as possible but there may be some variation between computer monitors or qualities that do not photograph well. We strongly recommend ordering a swatch before placing larger orders.
