A magnificent antique Austrian Sterling silver tea service dating from the 1800's. It has been decorated with an ornate monogram and crown engraving and features carved handles and finials on the lids. Included in the set are a large and a medium sized teapot, a large and a medium sized creamer and a glass sugar basin.
Each piece has been stamped with the antique Austrian silver hallmark that dates the set to 1856 and its creation to the silversmith Schiller in Vienna.
The engraving of the 9 point coronet indicates that the service once belonged to an Austrian count.
The sugar bowl has been created from crystal and has a Sterling silver lid that has also been engraved with the monogram and coronet.

CONDITION:
The 19th Century sterling silver tea service is in very good antique condition with some signs of age.
There are light surface marks and scratches in places.
There are minor dents to the lid of the medium teapot and side of the medium creamer.
The carved handles and finials have patina and thin hairline cracks in places.
The engraving on the sugar bowl lid has rubbed away in areas.
The carved handle on the medium creamer is slightly loose but still securely attached.
