A Vibrant Handcrafted Wooden Wine Stopper in Orange and Green

Each wine stopper I make starts it's life as between 65 and 75 pieces of dyed, hand cut tulipwood veneer. The pieces of veneer are then carefully arranged into the desired colour sequence and meticulously bonded together using a combination of a cross grain plying technique and the best two part epoxy adhesive available (West System).
Once the block has fully cured, it is hand turned to the desired shape before being hand finished with a durable and resilient melamine based coating.
The final part of the process it to give the finish a coat of microcrystalline wax (which helps to prevent the build up of finger marks), and then attach the metal 'stopper' section and decorative stainless steel end cap. I only use highest quality 60g metal stoppers which give an overall feeling in the hand of a heavy, solid, well crafted piece.
A great combination of vibrant orange and green veneers with gold coloured metal stopper section and decorative end cap. Perfect for any bottle, but would be a simply fantastic pairing with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne.

This item will be very carefully packaged and boxed prior to mailing to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition.
The acrylic display stand seen in some of the photos is not included.
Depending on the device you are viewing the photographs on, there may be slight colour variations, but I have tried to represent the colours in the photos as accurately as I can by taking the pictures in natural daylight without the use of a flash.
