Elementals, Series 01: Air, Water, Earth & Fire (Acrylic on Canvas, Original Art, 2022)

Foundational as they are, the Elements remain a mystery.

This set of four original acrylic paintings was created in a spirit of inquiry and playful curiosity. I just love the Elemental devas who appeared, and their cohorts of little magical companions. These paintings were created in two pairs (Air + Water, Earth + Fire) simultaneously using a single easel and palette of colors for each pair; many brushstrokes intentionally cross the divisions between the canvases.

I hope they will find a home where a spirit of respect for our beautiful planet home merges with playful inquiry about how we can live in harmony with the Elements.

Each painting in the group measures 10 x 10 x 3/4 inches. Total painted surface area is 10 x 40 inches when placed side by side, or 20 x 20 inches arranged in a square. Canvases come ready to hang with eye-bolts and wire attached. Purchase price includes all 4 paintings.

(NOTE: Unless you intend to place them directly next to each other, remember to allow for space between the canvases when hung.)

Studio Tara Erin is a pet-friendly space. This item was created and is stored in the studio on the second floor of my home; all second-floor rooms are smoke-free.

The "Earth" canvas in this collection was torn during installation of the picture hanging hardware, and was repaired with a canvas patch on the back of the panel. The repair, back and front, is shown in the final two detail images of this listing.
