- What is Polyester Fabric good for? -

The fabric materials are incredibly durable and resistant to chemicals. Polyester is commonly used in fashion umbrellas and is resistant to stretching and shrinking. The materials also offer resistance to abrasions and wrinkling.

- Why Polyester Fabric? -

It retains its shape. While linen and cotton fabrics can retain wrinkles and require ironing, polyester is wrinkle-resistant and will better hold its shape, drape, and rigidity.

However, polyester may actually be a selling point if you're also looking for bags that can be tossed in the dryer without concern that they'll shrink. They are not necessarily biodegradable but are still more eco-friendly than plastic bags.
