About the artwork:
Each portrait is an original artwork based on images of the characters. As a kid, these faces both delighted and haunted me at the same time, jumping off of the pages of Famous Monsters Magazine, in the '70s and broadcast late at night in black and white, while I stayed up way past my bedtime.

About Us:
Sometimes inspiration finds you.
Tommy Spero, a graphic designer, drummer, and producer, based on the North Shore of Long Island, NY has a gift for transforming inspiration into craftsmanship. In 2021, he created Bowman & Butcher, a design studio and workshop to share his inspired works with the world.
Some of Tommy’s earliest memories are of standing in the basement workshop which once belonged to his father, John-- looking up at all of the tools in wonder, waiting for the day his hands would grow to hold the heavy instruments. John was a butcher by trade, as well as an avid archer, deer hunter, and leatherworker. When John passed away at the age of 47, Tommy was only 6 years old. And although he visited that basement workshop as a way to feel closer to his father, he was unsure whether those tools would ever fit in his hands.
Fast forward a few decades later, and inspiration struck as Tommy needed a place to listen to his old records. He pieced together a vintage stereo system but wanted a way to display his records. As one revelation led to the next, Tommy built his own basement workshop and began teaching himself the techniques that would bring his ideas --and memories of his father-- to life.
And with that, Bowman & Butcher was born. Our work serves as a tribute to the man who may not have raised him, but whose spirit serves as the foundation of craftsmanship and care that goes into making our products. We plan on exploring inspiration in the things we love - music, pop culture, and living by the sea. We hope you find inspiration of your own through these one-of-a-kind handmade products and art projects that will keep this legacy alive.
