1960s Mod Black Lace Dress: Vintage Spaghetti Strap Cocktail Dress (S-M)/ evening wear, costume

This vintage black lace dress with satin spaghetti straps falls straight from the bust in a mod 1960s style. This little black dress works perfectly as a classic cocktail dress. The beautiful flower pattern lace dress is fully lined with a black acetate sheath. It is styled with 2 princess seams in front that end in 13" (33 cm) long pleats. It closes with a simple hook and a snap on the side. I suspect it began its life as a long lace skirt and was redesigned to become a mod dress in the 1960s, and it could still be worn either way! I would estimate the size to be a small or medium, but please refer to the measurements below for proper fit. This lovely dress is in good vintage condition; the lace, which is probably a soft cotton, is perfect and still a rich dark black color; the lace alone is worth the price! The lining has several small holes which really don't show, but could be repaired or replaced. Picture this dress with black heels, wear your hair in a french twist or cut in a mod pixie style, then add one perfect piece of jewelry and you're off to have a great time!
