Louise Lovely was a golden girl of early silent cinema and one of the first residents of Melbourne’s Labassa Mansion which hosted an eclectic group of bohemian artists. Lovely was often noted as charming with a lack of pretension and was quoted saying that she “loved flowers but hated picking them”. It is with this free bohemian spirit that we can picture Louise roaming the mansion barefoot in her favourite satin skirt, peplum blouse and a string of pearls. The mint satin skirt is high in the waist, fastened by a hook & eye and flows mid-calf. Perfect for an afternoon of gazing at flowers and getting your roommate to pick them.

Joey Styling Tips - We’ve gone a bit eclectic ourselves and paired this dreamy peppermint skirt with a tangerine mock turtle neck, and an 80s fruit perspex belt (also available for purchase) and snake print ballet flats. Alternatively, a cropped cable knit and knee-high boots would be a cosy winter look, add a beret to finish it off. Louise loved some fancy headwear.

We in turn will ensure that any vintage flaws are listed and include conditions in which the vintage items are. We have carefully measured each garment so please abide by these measurements when referring to size as vintage size tags will not always equate to standard sizing today.
