Made in the USA of 100% aromatic cedar

These boxes are made from aromatic cedar ( which smells amazing! ) . Cedar is famous for its pleasant smell and dramatic grain variation and rustic knots. Darker heart wood and lighter sap wood are the hallmark of natural cedar. So...there is no way to "Pick and Choose" what Mother Nature creates. It is part of the inherent beauty of the natural wood itself. Your keepsake box may have dramatic grain variations, rustic imperfections, and knots--as Mother Nature intended.

The outside of the box is finished with clear lacquer. The inside is left unfinished, except for the bottom which is covered with black felt for a finished touch. Embellished with brass hinges and a locking hasp.
