The rubber band
It's loosely knotted so it can be adjusted to the child's foot, shortened, and tucked into the back hem. I use brown suede insoles so cookie crumbs are well hidden.
Size
To determine the exact size, you can measure your foot from heel to toe while standing. Your toes will roll out more easily when you're standing.
When ordering smaller sizes, do not order too large, as the shoe, being significantly softer than a firm shoe, tends to fold over when standing up and pulling yourself up, which can lead to tripping.
Keep in mind that I've already factored in some extra space in my measurements compared to shoe size.

Wool felt soles
For winter, I have wool felt insoles that can be inserted into slippers. Please note that they are 3-4 mm thick, which will slightly reduce the shoe's volume. They are available as a separate item in my shop.
I use cowhide nappa leather:
• No use of AZO dyes •
• Use of fats without organochlorine compounds •
• Free from PCP, PCB, CFCs, formaldehyde and chromium VI •
• Aqueous finishing systems (solvent-free) •
• Made in Germany according to German environmental regulations •
Care
The slippers can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. If they get completely wet, let them dry slowly (not on the radiator) and gently knead them occasionally to keep them supple. If the soles become too smooth, you can roughen them up again slightly with a wire brush, for example, from a hardware store.
