This is a charming antique black mauchline ware needle case. It measures approximately 8.5 x 6 cm. Both covers carry a lovely Victorian friendship motto decorated with a floral design. The inside is lined with a purple silk fabric with sewn in holders for needle packets. The fabric is a little grubby with age. There's also a central felt needle storage area. There are little fabric tabs on the side which are used to hold the case shut and a little pencil currently does the job. The case is in lovely condition with just a couple of small areas of wear to the motto section. A lovely little vintage sewing collectable.

I'm now using eco-friendly packaging for all orders including biodegradable brown craft paper tape, biodegradable bubble wrap and void fill packing chips and, where possible, reused boxes. The only thing I've not yet been able to find is eco-friendly clear tape used for attaching shipping labels, so if you're aware of any such thing please let me know where I can find it. I'd love to be able to offer 100% eco-friendly packaging!
