Be interdependent not codependent! There are 3 roles (persecutor, rescuer, victim) we play that keeps us repeating the same dysfunctional patterns with no real resolutions. The victim is the person who feels powerless and helpless in their relationships, while the rescuer is the person who tries to fix and save the victim. The perpetrator is the person who has power and control over the victim, and often uses this power to manipulate and exploit them.
It is an unhealthy cycle played out over and over again subconsciously until a person decides to adopt new strategies to exit the cycle. This workbook is a simple and clear method to develop an empowered set of skills.
I have used these worksheets with my clients who have found them to be helpful.
