Digital files to build your very own treasure chest complete with secret drawer and easy to follow
step by step instructions to guide you through quite a detailed yet extremely satisfying build.

This treasure chest which features a Celtic design would work great as a jewelry box or place to keep keys, wallet, loose change etc.
It has 2 levels inside, the top level being a removable tray.
The chest is designed to be able to keep locked up with a small padlock.
The secret drawer can also accommodate a pair of 3x3mm magnets to help keep it shut when the chest is tilted.

The files include a 3mm and a 1/8inch version and both sizes have a version with and without kerf taken into account
The kerf I have applied is 0.15mm

Also included is a separate version
of all the files with joining bridges added to them. These “bridges” are small gaps, intentionally placed in the linework, that keep all the pieces from popping out on the laser bed when you cut. It’s a technique used in laser-cut kits. Since there are a lot of smaller pieces, using the bridged version on the files can make sanding and staining a lot less tedious. But this is only an option. If you wish you can just use the non bridged files.

External dimensions measure (L) 205mm x (W) 125mm x (H) 135mm
Internal dimensions are (L) 186mm x (W) 106mm and 76mm from the highest part of the inside of the lid to the floor of the top tray
Underneath the top tray, the lower level of the chest has a height of 27mm
The tray has internal dimensions of 180mm x 98mm and is 26mm deep
The secret compartment drawer measures 182mm x 98mm and is just over 10mm deep
