No previous wool felting, sewing, knitting, or crocheting experience/skills are necessary to create this sweet little sheep, making this needle felt kit ideal for crafting beginners. This delightful diy craft kit allows you to make one cute 'n' curly white sheep. Your finished sheep will measure approximately 4x4 inches, depending on how firmly it is felted, and the project will take around three hours to complete if you are a felting newbie.

The wool for this adorable needle felted sheep is collected from the specialty breed sheep raised on our farm in North Dakota, so you can be assured of the quality and integrity of our wool felt kits! All our needle felting kits are packaged in a smoke-free home in resealable plastic bags making them the perfect gift for any crafter or fiber enthusiast! Why not create your own flock of these endearing sheep to add a touch of country charm to your home?

Our beginner sheep craft kit comes with two options -

OPTION ONE - Complete sheep felting kit includes -
• white wool
• white curly wool
• black wool for the mouth
• glass eyes
• two felting needles
• felting cushion
• detailed instructions with photographs of each step by Fiber Artist Teresa Perleberg
• DOES NOT include needle and thread to sew on the eyes

OPTION TWO - Includes all felting supplies except the felting needles and cushion.
Select this option if you are purchasing more than one diy kit as you only need one set of needles and one cushion.

OPTION THREE - *Kit W/Wool Cushion (7" X 7")- This kit includes everything listed above except we trade out the foam cushion for our specially designed wool felting cushion. We designed it ourselves and manufacture them right here at Bear Creek with, you guessed it, our very own wool. This is a great choice if you plan on doing more felting in the future. The wool felting cushion should last you a lifetime where foam cushions need replacing in between projects. Bundled together here at a reduced price to get you started with the best supplies.

I am afraid I do not do custom work. I did for awhile and found that it was more stressful and took the fun out of what I do. I have found that I can do better work on an animal that I am inspired to make.

That said, I do take requests. I love to hear what my customers would like me to make. I can't guarantee that I will make it but sometimes I am inspired by a request. I keep a list of requests and check it often when deciding what I would like to make next. If you have pictures that is even more inspiring.

I try to notify the person that has made the request when I make that particular animal. I post all my new works on my Facebook page, plus I send out an email newsletter.

All of my kits are designed for beginners. You will be able to complete these kits even if you have never even heard of felting before. Beginners can do any of the kits but I have ordered them in order of difficulty here:

This depends on the child. There are sharp needles in the kit and it does require some patience. I have had 7 year olds complete the kits without a problem. Younger children have completed my kits with the help of an adult.
