“Uncovering Your Stims” is a guided worksheet that Irene created to help people who crave to learn more about their Neurodiversity and need help discovering what stims they may have as someone who lives with ADHD and/or Autism.
Stimming is such an important part of being a neurodivergent individual—and as more and more people get diagnosed as adults, we are left with the task of discovering what our neurodivergency looks like and what it means to us. Being able to know what your stims are and what sensory experiences bring you comfort versus discomfort can be what stands between feeling chronically burnt out/ anxious vs. your most comfortable and effective life.
There aren’t enough guided prompts and worksheets that are geared towards helping people discover more about their neurodivergency and what their specific Spectrum may look like & how it personally affects them.
This worksheet will help you break down what comforts and discomforts you have associated to each of the 5 senses, understand the purpose of stimming, the benefits of stimming, which tasks in life you find yourself draw to, which tasks you find yourself avoiding, how specific stims related to that task will shape how effectively you perform, what your specific stims are in relation to each of the 5 senses, and how combining an enjoyable stim with an unenjoyable task can help you not avoid it anymore.
