I use silver plated and silver filled metals in my creations, as well as sterling silver. It is possible the metal may tarnish over time. Storing the item in the ziploc bag they are shipped in will help keep them shiny. A quick dip in silver cleaning fluid for the chains, and wiping with a silver polish cloth for the other items, will also help. Copper items will develop a patina over time as well. To keep your jewelry looking beautiful, always remove before bathing or swimming. Keep away from fragrances, chemicals, cosmetics or soap. Always put your jewelry on after you have applied cosmetics, hair spray and fragrance. Wipe clean with a dry soft cloth and store in a plastic ziploc or separate from other jewelry.

If you notice your Petoskey stone is getting a bit dull, take a VERY SMALL amount of mineral oil, just a tiny drop, and rub into the stone, wiping off any excess with a soft cloth or paper towel.
