These delightful dangles are fashioned from a variety of Nepalese and Indian papers.
The main bead is delicately folded into a small square tile/bead and then carefully wrapped with a gold bezel paper which is sourced from a company near Venice, Italy that has been making paper since the 1800s. This bezel paper is then covered with a beautiful gold dot and charcoal paper from Nepal.
Lightweight, durable and versatile, these beauties will complement your favorite fashions. Wear them to the office, out for a romantic evening or pair them with jeans for a casual weekend look.
Designs are one-of-kind and may include slight imperfections (paper is hand molded and manipulated) which adds to the charm.
Surgical steel findings.
APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS:
ONE-SIDED SQUARE BEAD: 1/2" square, 1/4" deep
MY PROCESS
1. Paper strips are folded into a tiny paper tile, my proprietary design.
2. Each tile is wrapped, on the side, in an Italian gold crepe paper that becomes the "bezel".
3. A finding is attached to the back and the finished bead is connected to an ear wire.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
The paper is protected using a moisture-resistant, non-toxic sealant. While product is water repellent, it is not waterproof. However, I live in the Pacific Northwest and wear mine in the rain all the time. If product does get wet, just gently pat and set out to dry.
PACKAGING
Items will arrive on a Coco Delay jewelry card in a pretty organza gift bag.
