Stunning work of functional art by master fine art woodworker and Los Angeles Philharmonic musician Jack Cousin. Mr. Cousin was named one of LA's top artists by Los Angeles Magazine.
Using repurposed wood from a Southern California avocado grove, Mr. Cousin first carved the bowl and then inlaid genuine Mother of Pearl and green stone into the natural openings in the wood. The result is a one of a kind work of art. The grain is colorful and weaves throughout.
The artist free dived for the Mother of Pearl off the coast of Northern California, making this bowl handmade from its inception.
The wood is completely organic, untreated, and food safe.
The bottom is engraved with the artist's signature string instrument logo.
