Famous for their rich colors, warm tones, and beautiful ethnic motifs, these flat-woven rugs embody a splendid mix of cultures: the Greeks, Armenians, Kurds, Assyrian, & Turkic peoples have all contributed to kilim history. The rug is handmade in two of the most durable and gorgeous natural fibres: hemp and organic cotton. They make for a perfect rug material: they attract no dust or debris — which is a huge advantage for people with kids and four-legged friends. Hemp also works as an outdoor rug — meaning if it does get wet, it does no harm to the fibres and is washable by hand. Not exactly the softest of materials for a rug, but works wonderfully in high-traffic areas as well.

All distinctions in colors and designs are natural, insofar as to be caused even by the changes in the weather at times. I really love this rug. it’s a bit smaller than I thought. In all fairness, the measurements are listed on the site and I should have measured the area where the rug was going to go. If you have a small space you can get away with this rug. If this rug was double or maybe even triple the size, it would have been perfect for the space I wanted it to be in. (Like I said, I did not measure) The rug is beautiful though and I will find a place to display it. (Maybe one of my tables) I also ordered the yellow rug. I highly recommend this shop. I definitely will shop here again.🤗
