This wonderfully sculptural piece looks for all the World like a panel that has fallen off an Alien Spaceship.....abstract and yet faintly recognisable, industrial and yet strangely organic, balanced yet curiously asymmetrical.....its sharp precision engineered lines in contrast to the more natural curves and weathering that covers the surface to create a fascinating piece of Industrial decorative Artwork.

In fact it is the hand of Man rather than any extra-terrestrial that has created this fascinating object, cast in solid Aluminium, its previous use was in the heat and industrial clamour of a Foundry where it was once part of a casting mould for engineering components. Now its working days are long gone and its visual and tactile beauty can be savoured in a more serene environment.
Its highly textured and robust surface invites the fingertips to explore, while traces of the original Red casting paint remains in the nooks and crannies giving it a wonderfully weathered appearance.
It has been lightly waxed to conserve and protect the surface.

A fabulous and unique piece of our industrial heritage, this highly decorative piece would compliment any chic eclectic style of décor, suitable for mounting on a wall or as a free standing piece, either horizontally or vertically.
Measuring approx. 40cm x 27cm, and approx 2cm thick, and weighing a hefty 1.8kg.

This is one of two similar pieces that I currently have in stock, please see my Etsy store for the other example, and where I offer for sale a range of carefully curated decorative design pieces.
