Black Bayou Refuge, original woodcut print by Tammy Matthews, printed in two colors, green and black inks on white parchment. This is a woodcut interpretation of a scene I drew plein air in pastels. Black Bayou Refuge is north of Monroe, Louisiana. All pulls are with green and black ink. Paper color is white parchment.

From hand-carved blocks of wood, these are printed with high quality ink formulated especially for woodcut and block prints. Numbered, signed and dated. Most images I print on various paper weights and colors (noted above)and the folio margins vary. I ink and pull each print by hand. So it should be noted that ink coverage will vary from sheet to sheet, and may vary slightly from what is illustrated in this listing. Sheet sizes vary slightly, but image size is uniform (since it is printed from a block of wood) and both are noted below.

Print image area: approx : 6.75x12.5"

Sufficient clear space beyond the image area is provided for proper matting and framing. Sold as print only. Mat and frame are not included. All images are of original art, in various media, created by Tammy Matthews.
