Beautiful Bird-Themed Antique Brass and Purple Glass 1920’s Czech Necklace

This necklace is from a collection of 1920s Czechoslovakian costume jewelry. Each item in the collection is unique. The necklace is entirely original. The necklace features a gilded brass pendant of a swallow flying within an ornamental gilded brass ring. A second swallow is suspended in a decorative brass piece above the main pendant. The body of the necklace consists of faceted lilac glass beads, each flanked by brass bead caps and gold tone seed beads, linked together with brass wire. There are 5 half-inch prong-set opalescent purple glass cabochons, and seven long pendants below the brass circle. The longest pendant ends in a 2 inch teardrop of floral molded glass which is hand striated in multiple colors of purple and lilac. The brass bead cap of this pendant is stamped CZECHO, the hallmark of genuine antique Czech jewelry (see photos). The necklace has a 16-inch drop including the pendants. The clasp is the original gold-tone spring-ring clasp; it functions well.
None of the glass elements are missing, scratched, chipped, cracked, or broken. The metal elements have no dents, scratches, cracks or breaks.

This is a unique and beautiful antique necklace which is in very good condition for its age. A special gift to wear or to display.
