Plastic Bear / Dog Safety Noses for Toys 8mm – 30mm

A pack of black, plastic dog / bear safety noses for soft toy making with EN71 and REACH safety certification. These black noses are particularly suitable for creating a dog or bear nose and other toys. The noses come in sizes ranging from 8mm to 30mm and are made from black plastic with a white, plastic safety back.

They are available in packs of 1, 5, 10, 20 or 40 noses. Plastic safety noses are suitable for stitched, knitted and crocheted toys. These eyes conform to EN71-3 and REACH standards (let us know if you need copies of the documentation).

The noses are available in the sizes shown below. The nose size relates to the width at the widest part of the nose and the other measurement is the height at the widest part (eg the 8mm nose measures 8mm across the nose and 6mm from top to the bottom of the nose).

The nose has a ridged ‘pin’ on the back which is inserted through the fabric (before stuffing the head). The plastic back is inserted onto the ‘pin’ on the inside of the fabric that holds the nose firmly in place.

The backs have to be a very tight fit to conform to safety regulations and to ensure that the nose cannot be pulled off from the toy. Because of this, we also stock a Safety Eye Insertion Tool that helps push the backs onto the noses which is particularly helpful for those that have weakness in their hands or fingers.
