I have always been fascinated by ancient cultures, how they dressed, communicated and lived. So I developed a passion for the anthropology of jewelry, how a piece holds multiple meanings for people, culture and society. Adornment says a lot about who someone is, where he comes from, and his aspirations. I am inspired by archetypal elements of diverse heritages, which helps me create timeless pieces imbued with meaning and value.

My designs express the beauty of things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. I aim to uncover the beauty of imperfection in each piece by combining textures, oxidizing surfaces, and forging irregular forms. A great part of my Aesthetic is influenced by my Japanese inheritance and the idea of Wabi-sabi: a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection.
