The Waterfall sewing pattern is a bohemian dress sewing pattern with big sleeves. It features a button placket and a granddad collar. The pattern is called the Waterfall because of the way the sleeves flow down from the pleats at the shoulders. It comes with three views: a blouse (view A), a mini dress (view B), and a maxi dress (view C). The pattern comes in the usual size range (31’’-59.6’’ bust).
This is a PDF pattern, which means you will have to print it out, either at home or at a copy shop. The files are layered, Make sure you print the files at 100% or 'actual size' so you print it out correctly. There is a 10x10cm square on the first page to help you check this.
The fabric requirements are listed in the photos - it depends on which version you're making how much fabric you'll need. An important note on fabric: don’t use medium/heavy weight fabric for this sewing pattern! I recommend the following fabrics (among others): lightweight linen, flowy cotton voile, double gauze, viscose, silk.
The skill level for this pattern is confident beginner/intermediate. However, I have written the instructions so that it is accessible to beginners as well. The instructions are accompanied by a mix of high quality photographs and digital illustrations. Sycamore Road patterns have been tested extensively by amateur sewists to ensure clarity in the instructions and a well fitting garment.
This pattern is easy to hack. For example, you can omit the collar & the button placket and add ties for a different look.
1cm/3/8'' of seam allowance is included in this pattern.
