This calendar + planner pack offers all you need to get your PhD planning fully sorted. Throughout my PhD I have found good organisation and planning to be essential in keeping on top of my work. I hope my experience and this resulting pack can help you stay on track from the start. The planner comes with three main sections – calendar (one year), my thesis and tracker.

To make sure you know how to properly use the planner, I have created an introductory video which I strongly encourage you to watch. You will be send the link when ordering the product.

CALENDAR: an undated year planner that is fully linked up and helps you stay on track. Each month comes with a monthly overview, weekly pages and daily pages, each incl. space for academic goals, personal goals, wellbeing plans and word count goal. NOTE: If you are using Adobe Acrobat, you can benefit from some of the text fields in this section being linked up. For example, if you type in a birthday in the monthly overview for a certain day, that birthday will automatically populate on the respective week and day page.

TRACKER: this section lets you keep track of everything and includes: supervision preparation & record, literature record, reading log, training tracker, finance tracker, notes, research dairy & observations, project pages for 5 projects and a variety of empty notes pages.

EXTRA SHEETS: This product also includes an Excel file with two sheets and additional PDFs to allow for multiple usage, e.g. supervision sheets and research diary sheets. The two Excel sheets will support you in keeping track of your word count. The calculator/tracker is designed to help you track your word count when working on different chapters that are not yet combined into one file and the word count graph sheet will help you visualise your writing progress over time.

**DIGITAL** - This planner is interactive and can be used digitally. It has been made for Goodnotes and Adobe Acrobat.

**TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS**

The planner requires 30MB pf space. Make sure you have that available before you complete your purchase.

GOODNOTES: Using this planner with Goodnotes is an easy and smooth process. If you are familiar with Goodnotes, you’ll know how useful the programme is.

ADOBE ACROBAT READER: The upside to using this with Adobe Acrobat is that the file was created with text fields, checkboxes and buttons. Together they create an interactive and easy to use planning experience. In the calendar section, some text fields are even linked up so that they get populated automatically once one of them is filled in! The downside to using this file with Acrobat Reader is that 700 pages full of interactive fields makes the file quite large and the programme will need a bit longer to open and save the file. Ideally, you’ll have a good computer that is not too old or slow.
This planner has not been tested with other programmes.
