This handmade bookmark is perfect for Bibles, Books, Hymnals, and Journals! It especially comes in handy when your book does not have built-in ribbon bookmarks. This bookmark comes with two black ribbons and is perfect for a non-bulky, more secure bookmark option. However, this bookmark insert can only be used on books with a gap between the spine and pages. Sometimes this gap is unnoticeable because it has yet to be broken in. Yet luckily, most have this gap.

To use:
Simply insert the plastic backing into the spine of the book. With newer books, a little prying may help to get it into the spine easier.

Measuring the Spine:
For a broken in spine: Please measure from end to end across the top of the book because with loose spines the insert is more likely to wiggle itself out if it is too small.

For a Tight Spine: When measuring across the top from end to end, please subtract a small amount from the inches measured, because spines that are still tight will need a smaller insert.

-If your spine is a .25 above or below the available sizing options, please choose accordingly which will work best for you.

I did not get this to use in a Bible, I got it for my Hobonichi weeks to replace the ribbons it came with. I did have to trim it even smaller but the ribbon length was perfect- this item is so smart :) Would love if there was options for thinner ribbons!
