We ship through USPS, UPS or UPS SurePost (USPS/UPS combo), typical transit time is 2-5 business days. All items under 1lb are ship via USPS First Class (3-6 days). We do our absolute best to ship the most inexpensive, but secure and safe way possible. Your items may ship in multiple packages for safety concerns. All items will be shipped using address provided during payment, please double check this information. We are not responsible for undelivered, mis-delivered items due to incorrect address, or items damaged or destroyed in transit. Please photograph any damage before opening your package. USPS & UPS require packaging photos for claims. However, please contact us with any troubles you encounter.

Proofs are sent on all custom/personalized orders, unless it is a simple initial or number. Proofs are sent via Etsy within 3 days of your purchase. Please make sure your contact information is correct in your order. If you use a "junk mail" account for Etsy, please make sure you are checking it. We do highly recommend the Etsy app and enabling push notifications for messages and order updates. If your order comes up in queue and has not been approved, we will still send it as an "as is" order and cannot be held responsible for inaccuracies or design interpretations lost in translation, even if you entered the info correct and we entered it incorrectly. This is why we send proofs. We will send at minimum 2 messages through Etsy.

While we strive for perfection, all items are handmade and subject to imperfections. As a tree grows with knots on it's trunk and branches, so do our frames and sign backgrounds. Each piece of wood takes to paint and stain differently. All of this is part of the natural beauty and uniqueness of your handmade sign.

The Wooden Frame reserves the right to cancel and refund any order using a promotional code found using a coupon finder such as "Honey". If the code was not specifically given to you or listed freely, please do not use it, it was meant for someone else.

We gladly accept returns and exchanges on non-personalized items within 3 days of delivery. We value each customer and want to make sure you are completely satisfied with your items. Canvas signs: Cost less than wood. Canvas signs are light weight, therefore more affordable to ship. These combined make them more cost effective. They also provide a unique texture. I use high quality vinyl for the designs, which provides crisp lines. The disadvantages would be that they are more fragile.

Wood signs: A wood sign gives me the advantage of being able to make more custom sizes. They are sturdier and have a more "expensive" look. I am also able to paint the design. However, they are wood, so the material costs more, they are more labor intensive and more expensive to ship...so, they just cost more.

There seems to be a stigma about vinyl on signs being just a sticker. I am here to tell you that it isn't really a disadvantage. In fact, I am betting in some instances, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a painted design and a vinyl design. Vinyl is more cost effective for you and provides crisp lines and a more durable design. Personally, sometimes I prefer vinyl and sometimes I prefer paint. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

Maybe? Please contact us. At the beginning of the pandemic we shut down international orders due to insanity with shipping. We are open to shipping to Canada and possibly other locations but currently do not have open international ordering without a quote direct from us.

Whether you qualify for the $35 and up free shipping or your item is marked as free shipping, The Wooden Frame is still paying for a shipping label and they definitely aren't free. In order to offer such promotions we do budget these costs into our items. The more items you buy, the larger the cost of the shipping label for us, since the size and weight of the package increases as well. If you order more than about 2/3 signs, it is typically safer to ship in multiple packages, which also increases the shipping costs on your order.

As of 4/4/2022 we will be charging a $15 surcharge for any order shipping to AK, HI or non-continental APO addresses. USPS has added surcharges to any package over 22", which includes the majority of our signs and/or boxes. This makes it to where we can no longer absorb the extra shipping charges for these areas.
