Digital download for Kate Kilgus Handwovens "Transitions Scarf: a color and weave wearable accessory for all seasons." Note that this listing is for the handweaving pattern directions only. This listing is not for a physical, handwoven bamboo scarf.
"Transitions" refer to the dynamic design motif that appears on both borders of the scarf. I also like wearing accessories woven from bamboo and other lightweight fibers during the "not-quite" Fall or Spring times during the year.
Kate has written out the directions for a stylish scarf using bamboo yarns. The pattern is intended for confident beginner with access to a 4 harness loom. Included in the pattern purchase is a full-color weaving draft and drawdown, table with "Need-to-Know" numbers, warp thread counts, and clear written directions.
Equipment: 4 shaft table or floor loom, 8 dent reed with at least 12" of workable width, 2 shuttles, tapestry needle, rotary cutter and mat, scissors.
Suggested yarns: 5/2 bamboo yarn in 2 contrasting colors. Color selection recommendations and yardage amounts are included in the pattern draft.
Please note that this is a downloadable PDF pattern only. The pattern file is 7 pages long and printing of the pattern is the buyer's responsibility. Pre-printed patterns will not be sent via USPS mail.
Your pattern file will be delivered to the email address provided with your account information after payment has cleared.
A second, optional PDF, "How to interpret a weaving draft," is also included with your purchase.
Please contact me with any questions about this pattern.
This pattern does not include written directions or charts specific to the rigid heddle loom and is not intended for rigid heddle weavers.
