Highlights
Decorative wall art piece, recovered from a broken clock from the 1920's or so. The focal point is the round shaped brass pendulum weight at the bottom, however it is beautiful from top to bottom. There is a mounting hook at the top. Lovely decorator piece that would look fabulous just about anywhere.
The arm is made from 7 long rods, three of which are brass. The brass ones tie the various brass decorations along their length together perfectly. The other 4 rods are made from steel, they have a little surface rust sporadically along their length. There is also a slight kink to the right side of the decoration above the disc (see photos & video).
The brass center rod is threaded at the bottom and the brass disc is supported by a round nut with a finger-friendly knurled edge. It's original purpose was to fine tune the speed of the clock. The upshot of this is that if you wanted to lower the disc, you could drop it by up to 3.5 inches by turning the nut.
Size – Just over 40 inches (102 cms) long, 9.5 inches wide (24 cms).
