Hot pink echinacea coneflower is a classic garden color for full to part sun, hot pink coneflower is hardy, drought-tolerant (once established), attractive to pollinators and birds, beautiful color, and has long-lasting cut flowers. Fully edible plants are an herb or tea garden staple.

Grows Well With: Beautiful summer color in hot pink is excellent against fire bush/burning bush, white or orange coneflower (echinacea), white, yellow or red yarrow, and black-eyed susan (ox-eye daises).

Seed Notes: Gently shake seeds from head (seeds look like little splinters). Sow in spring after last frost, start indoors, or in cold-winter areas, plant seeds at 1/8" depth after a killing frost but before the ground freezes. Seed germination occurs best with daily temperature fluctuations or after stratification, which help to end dormancy. Seeds may be started indoors in advance of the growing season or outdoors after the growing season has started.
