This listing is for a dainty Blue Owyhee Opal ring, crafted by hand especially for you. To order, simply select your ring size from the drop-down menu. I will then intuitively choose a piece of Blue Owyhee Opal just for you, using the specifications from your order to create your very own custom ring. Like all my work, each piece is individually made, using recycled silver, cruelty-free materials, ethically sourced gemstones and environmentally friendly methods.

⦁ High-grade natural Blue Owyhee Opal from Oregon, USA, approximately 5mm in size.
⦁ 16 gauge (1.4mm) sterling silver ring band.
⦁ Thick 925 sterling silver backing.
⦁ Your choice of either a straight or star bezel (see photo example) around the stone, made from 999 fine silver.
⦁ Polished to a high shine.
⦁ Silver is nickel free.

💎 BLUE OWYHEE OPAL LORE:
Blue Owyhee Opal is an incredibly unique type of blue Opal, and is actually considered to be the rarest amongst all Opals. It can only be found in one area on Earth: the Owyhee Mountains, along the Idaho and Oregon border. Its blue shades range from the translucent lavender blue to a wonderful rich, sky blue, and every colour it displays has a calming, soothing quality. It's a fairly recent addition to the gem world, only being discovered in the year 2003.
Blue Owyhee Opal is considered to be a perfect stone to help grant wishes and bring joy to your life. It is thought to evoke spirituality, soothe the heart and heal the body. It's also perfect for promoting relaxation, encouraging communication and boosting creativity and self-confidence.

Every order comes ready for gift giving, lovingly packaged in a little turquoise gift bag and a Gem & Tonik gift box handmade by me from recycled cardboard! Each box is then wrapped securely in biodegradable bubble wrap, then posted in a recycled padded paper mailer.

❤ PRODUCT PHOTOS:
All photos are taken outside in natural sunlight in my garden. Please allow for slight variations in colour, as some monitors, browsers and phone screens display colour differently.

❤ MADE BY HAND:
My items are made entirely by my hands, and not from moulds, casts or machinery. Each piece takes a great deal of time to make, and I put a little bit of my heart into everything I create. This means that my work may not always look like pieces that are mass produced. To show this, I try to take clear photos outside in natural light, and from different angles so you can see each piece in its entirety.
If you are looking for something that looks like it came from a catalogue or big box retail store, then I would recommend purchasing from a company that uses pre-fabs or machine-made pieces. However, if you would like something that has been made from the heart, with care, traditional techniques, and with a love for the Earth in mind, then I'd love for you to purchase from me!
