Mullein Pencil Drawing, Digital image, for homemade art, craft or writing including Internet publication

This digital image is of a graphite sketch I made several years ago of Mullein. This herb is a big wild plant that can stand 6 feet tall. The thick stalk has tiny yellow blossoms with 5 petals each. It is not native to North America and pops up where ground has been disturbed. This particular plant was the largest I have ever seen. I found it in Michigan in the yard of an art gallery. A friend was hosting an open house for the afternoon and it was raining. Because this plant was right next to the porch, I was able to stay dry and draw at the same time. To do the stalk and flowers I had to climb onto a step ladder.
