Skill level: Intermediate. This is not a beginner pattern although many video links are included.

*Meet Kinoko (kee-no-koh)! Prince of all mushrooms! It means “mushroom” in Japanese. He can stand on his own when inside his mushroom stem!
*Kat the Caterpillar is Prince Kinoko’s best friend. I chose the name Kat so it sounded like a pet cat and had the sound of CATerpillar. I changed it to being spelled with a "K" after my friend Kat! I imagine her to have the same personality, she’s sweet, caring and loyal!
*There's a bite mark in his cape because he saved Kat from starvation the day they met by letting her eat some of it.

MEASUREMENTS: Approximately
About 7.25 inches (18.4 cm) tall when inside the stem.
About 5 inches (12.7 cm) wide at the widest part of his hat.
Outside of the stem he stands 6.75 inches (17 cm) tall.

Magic Ring
sc: single crochet
dec: single crochet 2 together
inc: 2 sc in the same st.
sl st: slip stitch
dc: double crochet
dc2tog: double crochet 2 together
hdc: half double crochet
blo: back loop only
flo: front loop only
tr: triple crochet
fpdc: front post double crochet
pc: popcorn stitch

Supplies:
3.25 mm crochet hook.
10 mm and 6 mm safety eyes.
Size 4 worsted weight yarn.
16 gauge wire or stronger.
