This listing is for a Chunky Monkey pattern. This pattern is pretty quick and great for markets.

Pattern does not include flower headband for rainbow monkey. To make the rainbow monkey, change colors every 3-4 rounds for body and head, change every 2 rounds on arms.

This pattern is written US terminology and in English only. Includes many pictures and is 10 pages long.

If using parfait chunky, one skein of each color is enough to create the monkey. I used almost one full skein of dark brown and less than half a skein of light brown.

SKILL: Advanced beginner- requires skill in assembly, as well as skills in eye placement and embroidery.

MEASUREMENTS: When using 4.5mm hook with chunky yarn (such as Premier Parfait Chunky), final monkey measures about 11.5 inches tall. All measurements depend on size hook and yarn used.

MATERIALS:
4.5mm Crochet Hook (or 4mm if you have loose tension)
Yarn– Chunky yarn (I used Premier Parfait Chunky):
Dark Brown & Light brown
18-20mm Black Safety Eyes or Felt eyes
Scissors
Sewing Needle
Pins to hold parts in place for sewing (optional)
Stuffing (I use Polyfil)

You can use any type of yarn you would like, just adjust hook and eye size. You can even double worsted weight yarn. Eyes can also be made out of felt or even crocheted. Felt eyes for the monkeys I have made are by Nerdyknitz!
